Kerala NEET PG Counselling 2026: Official Process, Seat Matrix, Management & NRI Quota

Kerala NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the centralized, merit-based state admission process for postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses (MD, MS, and PG Diploma) across government and private self-financing medical colleges, administered online by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.

50% of postgraduate seats in Kerala Government Medical Colleges are surrendered to the All India Quota (AIQ) managed by MCC, while the remaining 50% of government seats, service quota seats, and 100% of private self-financing college seats are administered by CEE Kerala.

1. State Quota (50% in Government & Government-Aided Colleges)

  • Comprises 50% of postgraduate seats in Kerala Government Medical Colleges (Trivandrum, Kozhikode, Kottayam, Thrissur, Ernakulam).
  • Reserved for candidates of Kerala origin (domicile) or those who completed MBBS from a government/self-financing college within Kerala; reservation applies for SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD.
  • Fee: Approx. Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 55,000 per annum.

2. Service Quota (In-Service Doctors)

  • Dedicated seats for qualified medical officers serving under Kerala Health Services, Insurance Medical Services (IMS), and Municipal/Corporation Health Services.
  • Requires prescribed minimum rural/regular service years, a valid NOC, and NEET PG qualification within required merit brackets.
  • Fee: Subsidized government scale, with salary protection per service bond rules.

3. Management Quota (Private Self-Financing Colleges)

  • Open management seats across colleges like Malabar Medical College Kozhikode, Pushpagiri Thiruvalla, Jubilee Mission Thrissur, Amala Thrissur, and SUT Academy Trivandrum.
  • Open to NEET PG qualified aspirants nationwide; Kerala domicile not mandatory.
  • Fee: FRC-regulated, approx. Rs. 13,50,000 to Rs. 22,00,000 per annum.

4. NRI Quota (Private Self-Financing Colleges)

  • Dedicated NRI Quota seats (up to 15% of institutional intake); government colleges do not offer NRI or Management Quota for PG courses.
  • Open to NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, foreign nationals, and NRI-sponsored Indian candidates.
  • Fee: Approx. $25,000 to $55,000 USD per annum for high-demand specialties like Radio-Diagnosis, General Medicine, OBG, Orthopaedics, and Paediatrics.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have qualified NEET PG 2026 conducted by NBEMS with the mandatory minimum qualifying percentile (50th Gen/EWS, 40th SC/ST/OBC, 45th UR-PwD).
  • Must possess a recognized MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate from an NMC-recognized institution.
  • Must have completed or be scheduled to complete the mandatory 12-month rotatory internship by the official NMC cutoff date.
  • Must hold permanent/provisional registration from NMC, Travancore-Cochin Medical Council (TCMC), or any valid State Medical Council; state quota admits must register with TCMC within one month.
  • State & Service Quota: Must satisfy Kerala nativity/domicile conditions or prove MBBS completion from a Kerala institution. Non-Keralite candidates are eligible only for Management and NRI Quota seats.
  • NRI Quota: candidate or sponsor must hold documented NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign National status; sponsor must be a first-degree blood relative if applicable; sworn affidavit, passport, overseas residence proof, and NRE/NRO bank statements are required.
