Madhya Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2026: Official Process, Seat Matrix, Management & NRI Quota

Madhya Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2026 is the centralized, merit-based state admission process for postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses (MD, MS, and PG Diploma) across government, autonomous, and private self-financing medical colleges, administered online by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Bhopal.

50% of postgraduate seats in Madhya Pradesh Government Medical Colleges are surrendered to the All India Quota (AIQ) managed by MCC, while the remaining 50% of government seats, in-service quota seats, and 100% of private self-financing college seats are administered by DME Madhya Pradesh.

1. State Quota (50% in Government & Autonomous Colleges)

  • Comprises 50% of postgraduate seats in Government and Autonomous Medical Colleges (Gandhi Medical College Bhopal, MGM Medical College Indore, NSCB Medical College Jabalpur, GR Medical College Gwalior).
  • Reserved for candidates with a valid Madhya Pradesh domicile/residency, or MBBS graduates from an institution within the state; reservation applies for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD.
  • Fee: Approx. Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 80,000 per annum.

2. In-Service Quota (In-Service Doctors)

  • Designated seats across government colleges for medical officers serving under the Department of Public Health and Family Welfare, MP.
  • Requires prescribed rural/regular service years in remote/difficult areas, valid NOC, and NEET PG qualification within required merit brackets.
  • Fee: Subsidized government scale, backed by state service bond regulations.

3. Management Quota (Private Self-Financing Colleges)

  • Open management seats across colleges like Index Medical College Indore, Chirayu Medical College Bhopal, RD Gardi Medical College Ujjain, SAIMS Indore, and Peoples College of Medical Sciences Bhopal.
  • Open to NEET PG qualified aspirants nationwide; MP domicile not mandatory.
  • Fee: Approx. Rs. 10,00,000 to Rs. 18,00,000 per annum.

4. NRI Quota (Private Self-Financing Colleges)

  • Dedicated NRI Quota seats (up to 15% of institutional intake); government colleges do not offer NRI or Management Quota for PG courses.
  • Open to NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, foreign nationals, and NRI-sponsored Indian candidates.
  • Fee: Premium international tier, payable in USD or INR equivalent, higher for high-demand specialties like Radio-Diagnosis, General Medicine, OBG, Orthopaedics, and Paediatrics.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have qualified NEET PG 2026 conducted by NBEMS with the mandatory minimum qualifying percentile (50th Gen/EWS, 40th SC/ST/OBC, 45th UR-PwD).
  • Must possess a recognized MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate from an NMC-recognized institution.
  • Must have completed or be scheduled to complete the mandatory 12-month rotatory internship by the official NBEMS/NMC cutoff date.
  • Must hold permanent/provisional registration from NMC or Madhya Pradesh Medical Council (MPMC); state quota admits must register with MPMC within the stipulated timeframe.
  • State Quota: Must satisfy MP domicile/nativity conditions or prove MBBS completion from an MP institution. Non-MP candidates are eligible only for Management and NRI Quota seats.
  • NRI Quota: candidate or sponsor must hold documented NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign National status; sponsor must be a first-degree blood relative if applicable; sworn affidavit, passport, overseas residence proof, and bank statements are required.

  1. Portal Registration: Create a candidate profile with NEET PG Roll Number, All India Rank, Name, DOB, email, and mobile number.
  2. Payment of Application Fee: Pay the mandatory non-refundable application fee and portal charges online.
  3. Form Filling & Quota Claim: Complete personal, academic, internship, and category details; select State Quota, In-Service Quota, Management Quota, or NRI Quota.
  4. Uploading Scanned Documents: Upload photograph, signature, NEET PG scorecard, MBBS degree, internship certificate, registration certificate, domicile proof, and NRI affidavits.
  5. Profile Verification & Defect Rectification: Monitor status and rectify any flagged document defects.
  6. Merit List Publication: DME MP publishes the official Merit List and Category Lists.
  7. Option Registration: Submit and lock preferred colleges and specialties in order of priority.
  8. Allotment & Physical Reporting: Download the provisional allotment letter, pay institutional fees, and report physically to the allotted college for verification.
